Adair is involved in many professional and civic organizations. She is active in the Amarillo Area Bar Association and Amarillo Area Bar Foundation, having served on the boards and as president of both groups.

She is a member of the State Bar of Texas Real Estate, Estate Planning, and Probate sections. 

Adair has received the "AV-Preeminent" rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.

Adair has served on the boards and as an officer or chair of the Salvation Army, Panhandle Workforce Development Commission, Jan Werner Adult Day Care Center, and the Texas Tech Institutional Review Board.

She is also a fervent supporter of the Amarillo Symphony, Chamber Music Amarillo, Friends of the Aeolian Skinner Opus 1024 organ, Harrington String Quartet, and the Friends of the Fine Arts Series at West Texas A&M University, and has served on many of their boards.
